Job description
We're recruiting dedicated and compassionate Children's Transport Support Worker to join our Clinical Services Team. This role is to support a lovely and charming 17 year old male client who has a learning disability and needs support if he has an epileptic seizure on his school transport, which transfers him to and from school from his home address. Our client is transported to school in his personal school transport bus. All journeys take place from the client home address in the Hindhead, GU26 postcode area, near the A3.
We are looking for a Children's Transport Support Worker who is able to support our client in the morning between 08:30am - 10:30am and in the afternoon between 15:00pm - 17:00pm, minimum two days per week on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Clinical tasks include:
- Epilepsy Management
- Medication Management
- Oxygen/Saturation Monitoring
We are looking for someone who preferably has personal or professional experience with seizure management and has personal or professional experience dealing with an emergency and able to stay calm in a stressful situation. We would also require you to have excellent people skills, great communication and the ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
We provide a comprehensive clinical training and induction programme, overseen by professional nurses, to ensure you have the skills and confidence to succeed in your role working as a Clinical Carer within the Clinical Services Team.
