We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic Children's Support worker within our Alternative Provision beginning in August 2023.
Are you passionate about reaching pupils unable to access mainstream education due to anxiety, SEND, challenging behaviour or other mental health difficulties?

We are looking for enthusiastic Support Worker to work with our students on a 1:1 basis or small groups at our outdoor practical learning AP site, aged 6 - 16.

We are looking for Support Workers that can add to our mission to engage those who are disengaged, isolated, hard to reach, disadvantaged and who have Special Educational Needs in learning interventions that will develop confidence, self-esteem, resilience and skills and experiences needed to embrace life-long learning, making sure every person feels individually valued. Students are helped to develop into confident and successful individuals, who are responsible.

The successful candidate requires the following:

* Experience of working with young people aged 6 - 16 with SEND, challenging behaviour and/or ASD

* Behaviour management skills

* Engaging with students 1:1 and small group tutoring/mentoring/support

* National Curriculum knowledge (desirable)

* 2 years tutoring/mentoring/experience in the UK (desirable)

* Possibility of Flexible working hours and contracts.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: £9.50-£12.00 per hour

All areas are cleaned on a daily basis. General working environment is outdoors and indoor areas are very well ventilated.

Ability to commute/relocate:

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
