Children’s Social Care Assistants based in South Bristol.
Three full time permanent positions and one part time permanent position.
If you are considering a career in Children’s Social Care, this is an exciting first step. In Symes House (our South Bristol Office in BS14 0EE) the teams work with vulnerable children and their families who are subject to statutory intervention.
We require Children’s Social Care Assistants with a talent for administration and an interest in working with children and families, to take the opportunity to join a small team of Social Workers and Support Workers who deliver services to vulnerable children.
You will need strong organisation and administrative skills, a capacity to work under pressure, and a desire to be part of a small team who deliver services to vulnerable families receiving statutory services. Good communication skills and an ability to use initiative to support the work of the team, are essential qualities. Key skills necessary are being able to use spreadsheets, upload performance information onto a database, administer basic finance process, and take minutes at meetings. The role can include some direct work with children and their families.
