Job description
About Us
PureCare is a small children's residential care provider which provides therapeutic care for children aged 8 - 17 years old. We were established in 2018 and have since grown organically to provide care across 4 homes in Greater Manchester.
We are recruiting for our 3 bed home in Bury, Greater Manchester.
Our aim is to provide a seamless therapeutic service to the children/young people living in our homes, and a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Greater Manchester homes on a full-time permanent basis.
We're a small provider - we invest heavily in ensuring we maintain a small company atmosphere meaning, unlike larger providers, your career progression, happiness and wellbeing is paramount to us.
Direct therapeutic work with children – We aim to provide all children with direct therapy, driven by our in house psychologists and assistant psychologists. This will include therapeutic training and the opportunity for clinical supervisions for all staff.
What we Offer
- Signing Bonus of £250 - following successful completion of your probation period, you will be awarded a signing bonus of £250
- Earn up to £27,000 (scale based on experience and qualifications held, inclusive of sleep ins at £50 per sleep) - we used structured pay grades, so salary is based on your training and experience so that you are always paid fairly
- Discounts & Awards - Access to hundreds of discounts and benefits through Bluelight. This is in addition to our attendance related Amazon voucher scheme and Cycle to Work Scheme
- Comprehensive Private Medical Insurance - Free access to our company AXA medical insurance following successful completion of your probation period. This includes access to private GPs, dental and optical cover and mental health cover (as well as a number of other medical related benefits).
To be considered for work with us
- You must hold a Full UK Driving Licence
- Ideally you have experience supporting children
- Holding a Level 3 or equivalent in Children & Young People would be desirable but not essential - we'd be happy to support you through your Level 3 or Level 5 qualifications
- Please note that all successful applicants are required to obtain a satisfactory DBS Enhanced Certificate, or provide evidence that you are on the Update Service
What will I do as a Residential Support Worker?
- Using your experience and skills – Using life skills, you will have the opportunity to make a huge difference within a young persons life. Helping them to overcome any difficulties or disadvantages they may face - allowing them to strengthen their future. You will meet a variety of young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support.
- All of our homes adopt therapeutic practise, giving you the opportunity to develop into a therapeutically informed carer.
- Assist the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the statement of purpose, and uphold the organisations mission statement and values.
- You will create positive relationships with the children, meeting their needs and safeguarding them at all times.
