Quality Protects Children Ltd, has been working for over 21 years within the North West, specialising in providing a range of high quality residential child care services to support young people aged 10 – 18, who may present with complex needs.
We are looking for a superbly competent and talented person to fill the role of Registered Manager at Wayside Children’s Home. Wayside is a 5-bed home that specialises in providing care to young people with needs arising from a learning disability. The successful candidate will ideally have a previous experience of residential child care management, with an in-depth knowledge of the legislative and guidance framework, as well as a deep commitment to making a difference to lives of young people in our care. You will also need a strong grounding in understanding the needs of young people with a learning disability including specifically autistic spectrum. This role is one that requires a high level of organisational and administrative skill along with an ability to lead and manage a team of residential staff.
Post holders will be required to work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week as well as some on call. Salary is negotiable but will reflect the crucial significance of the role, qualifications and experience. You will hold a Level 4/5 Diploma in Health & Social Care or higher/equivalent combined with a leadership and management qualification and be willing to complete the Registered Managers Award within 12 months of taking up the post if you do not already hold.
