Are you passionate about enhancing a child or young person’s everyday life?
Apollo Home Healthcare are recruiting Healthcare Assistants who have a genuine interest in working with children and young people, to support our young service user who has complex care needs.
Our service user is an 18-year-old female who lives with her family in Bolton and requires support during the day on a 1:1 basis.
She is an inquisitive young woman who loves interacting with her care team, reading books, watching her favourite shows on the TV, and using her iPad.
Learning is a passion of hers and she carries out her studies from home. She is maths whizz and enjoys learning about history.
Playtime and fun are a big part of this role, and it is important that you participate and support our service user in the activities she enjoys. She reacts well to positive praise, smiles and lots of laughs!
Although she cannot take part in all activities, she likes to watch her care team and enjoys this positive experience and interaction. Therefore, you must be happy to paint your nails, pop on a face mask and get knitting as these are some of her favourite things to observe.
At times, she can display behaviours that challenge, and it would be beneficial if you have previous experience of using distraction techniques and offering reassurance to calm and control these situations.
She is unable to mobilise independently and requires support with moving and handling.

Shifts Available
- Regular Saturdays
- Days- 10am-6pm
- Opportunity for more hours in local area
We are currently paying £13.00 per hour for Saturdays this is approx. £104 per 8 hour shift
This is a great opportunity where you will be using your valuable skills from your gained experience and progressing into a Complex Care Assistant.
