Job description
Support children and young people with disabilities in the community. You will be required to work flexibly to suit the needs of the family to provide support in the following areas
Personal care - can include early mornings to allow children to access school and late evenings to allow young people to access activities that are peer appropriate
Attend colleges, work placement and groups to support one or multiple children/young people to engage in activities
Support in the home and in the local community to support lifeskills such as transport, budgeting and cooking
The role involves liaising with colleagues and families, you may be working remotely or with a small team
Candidates should have or be willing to work towards SVQ3 in Social Services and Healthcare and be able to register with SSSC. Candidates will also be required to have a PVG in relation to working with both children and adults as the service caters fro children and young adults
