Job description
I am looking to recruit a member of staff to work Monday- Friday 8:00am-3:30pm full time as a permeant position. This will be all year round 50 weeks of the year, with 2 weeks off for Christmas and all bank holidays off. Holiday entitlement will allow 28 days, these are to be taken between September to March. Wages are negotiable once out of probation stage but will be minimum wage for all applicants based on their age at the start of employment.
You will be working in my home alongside myself and my assistant caring for children from the ages of 6 months- 8 years old. The place of work is a family home and you will be working with a small group of children daily.
Your job will involve setting up activities, playing and teaching children, you would also be required to help the children at meal times and to be friendly, approachable and professional to parents/carers who visit and drop/collect their children.
Level 2 minimum in childcare and experience with young children is required. Learning on the job will also be given. Training will be given and you will be given the opportunity to go on courses of your choice.
You will be:
- Working under the supervision of the childminder
- Provide personal care for the children such as nappy changing and toilet training
- encourage children to play
- discuss each child's needs with their parents and other staff members, working collectively as a team
- ensure good hygiene standards are met and follow all safety procedures (including safeguarding children)
- due to working with children a DBS Check will be required (funded by employer)
