Job description
The Chief of Staff:
- is accountable to the Chief Executive, and will represent the view of the Office of the Chief Executive at the highest level, in their absence, at key strategic meetings (including external meetings).
- is a board member (non-voting) and key advisor to the Chief Executive, and the Board of Directors.
- contributes to the formulation of organisational strategy, policy and the delivery of corporate and statutory objectives.
- will participate in executive decision-making and will be involved in strategic discussions regarding the development of the organisation in light of evolving Integrated Care System as well as the development of emerging system governance models.
- will support the CEO by steering, coordinating and executing the delivery of activities related to the functions of the Trust as relevant to the priorities of the CEO.
- will maintain and uphold the reputation of the organisation.
- is responsible for the corporate governance of the organisation.
- will be highly flexible and able to exercise robust judgement with regards to the prioritisation of activities as the needs of the CEO and organisation change in response to the dynamic and highly complex environment in which they operate.
- will be the executive lead for the Information Governance function.
- Will be responsible for the co-ordination and relationship management with MPs, including oversight of responses and communication with their offices, reporting to the CEO and Chair.
