Pitchup.com receives 33m annual visits and up to 7,500 bookings per day, with total transaction value 25% up compared to 2022 (a record-breaking year). So far £300m worth of holidays have been booked through us and we’ve helped 10m holidaymakers make their great escape. This year we launched our new mobile website, updating the look and feel and increasing conversion, with the desktop version soon to follow. The company is profitable and was founded in 2009 by former lastminute.com staff with a background in the holiday park sector.
You will join a nimble team of 70 based in 10 countries, all working from home, as we are a 100% remote business.
Our site has been featured in leading global media titles, such as BBC News, New York Times, Le Figaro, and more, and has been translated into 17 languages. We’re members of the Financial Times' FT1000 fastest growing companies in Europe and recently were awarded the Platinum Trusted Service Award by Feefo, for achieving a customer rating of at least 4.5 out of 5 for 3 years in a row.
We are now looking to recruit a new role of Chief of Staff to support our Founder and Managing Director. You will be tasked with providing high-level support to develop and drive business strategy, working across the entire business to identify/solve pain points, make connections that otherwise would not be made. About the role
- A highly analytical confidant and advisor to the Managing Director, acting as a sounding board for ideas and championing our strategic goals and KPIs
- Help shape the growth strategy: analysing market drivers, trends and competitors and disseminating insights to the business to inform future initiatives
- Lead and manage a range of projects to address our goals, from long-term to business-critical
- Translate ambiguous requirements into clear, data-driven action plans aligned to commercial objectives
- Support teams across the business to improve business-as-usual processes, working with Product, Sales, Marketing and Operations to lead, plan and project-manage initiatives
- Your success will be measured by driving initiatives, your ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, highly seasonal environment and ultimately your impact on the company’s growth
About you
- Experience at a top-tier strategy/management consulting firm
- Effective and pragmatic, able to demonstrate a track record of success
- Previous exposure working with scale-ups or other fast-growing businesses, ideally in-house, with a bias to action
- Able to draw insights from analysis and communicate concisely and effectively with junior and senior stakeholders within and outside the business
- Experience leading and managing own modules of work underpinned by sound commercial judgement
- Adaptable and willing to roll up your sleeves and get involved with all parts of the business
- Collaborative, comfortable working across several different teams
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Impeccable analytical skills
- Strong academic credentials from a top-tier university
Salary: 70-90k per annum depending on experience, plus bonus
