Chief Engineer- Mechanical - London Bridge Hospital
We are actively inviting an experienced Chief Engineer to apply to London Bridge Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK.
Location: London Bridge Hospital.
Contract Type; Permanent, full time 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, with on call and weekends also required 1 in 4)

About the role
As part of the Estates team, you will provide a first class building maintenance service to the hospital and satellite sites, covering reactive, project and scheduled maintenance work. You will manage the mechanical/plumbing works, team and contractors onsite.
Duties & Responsibilities include but non-exhaustive;
Manage and ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times and to adhere to HCA Healthcare policies and procedures
Support the Senior Manager with the day to day operation of the department, ensuring all areas are covered in times of absence, annual leave, sickness etc. delegating tasks where necessary
Work on and manage planned preventive maintenance schedules, in line with departmental goals and objectives, maintaining accurate records and documentation at all times all the while liaising with your line manager.
Respond to, and complete incoming works logged on the internal computerised maintenance management system (Engineering Central) prioritising your workload, responding quickly to emergencies. Assessing jobs and devising a plan of action to complete.
Skills and Experience:
Qualified in relevant discipline (Mechanical) e.g. City & Guilds or NVQ
Previous extensive experience within a Hospital or similar organisation is essential
Supervisory, leadership and team management experience within building services
Good general knowledge and understanding of all disciplines within building services
Health and Safety, COSHH, Lifting and Handling, Fire regulations and Water Management
Excellent customer care and communication skills
