Position Summary and Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
The Operator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of production equipment to produce Printed Circuit Boards, primarily in the Chemical Process Area (CPA), but also elsewhere dependent on production demand. He / she will report to the respective Supervisor. This position requires working a day shift.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure that production equipment is operated in line with training, instructions, and other relevant documentation
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the work instructions, with standard operating procedures and in line with Health and Safety Instructions
- Ensure the equipment and its immediate surrounding area is treated with respect and due care and attention and cleanliness is maintained whenever possible
- Ensure that production throughput is met
- Communicate relevant information to the Supervisor, the Technical team, and others where appropriate
- Operate a forklift to unload chemical deliveries and store accordingly
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed in a timely manner
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:
- GCSEs or equivalent in mathematics and English are desirable
- PC literate desirable
- Ability to learn how to operate a forklift truck
- Ability to learn a variety of different process lines
