Chemical Operative


We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Chemical Operative to join our friendly team at our Runcorn site.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for filling, packing, labelling and dispatching products in a variety of drums and

cylinders, whilst also maintaining the highest levels of Health and Safety at our upper tier COMAH facility.

Key responsibilities will include ensuring that all relevant paperwork relating to onsite activities are maintained, and to use

company equipment as directed and trained.

Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain the highest levels of Health and Safety and report any situation which may pose a serious or
imminent threat.
  • Safely handle incoming empty packages and raw materials
  • Operate plant machinery to fill, pack and load products following standard operating procedures.
  • Follow all health, safety, environmental and security practices, and procedures consistent with
mandatory requirements and those laid down by the company.
  • Complete all product related documentation accurately and provide suitable handover to on-
coming shift
  • Report all equipment defects.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure targets are met whilst quality standards and maximizing efficiency.
  • Identify areas for improvement and/or cost savings.
  • Participate in training programs and initiatives as required to perform their duties to the required level of
competence necessary on a high hazard Upper Tier COMAH chemical handling facility

Skills, Qualifications & Experience


Essential

  • Strong communication skills
  • Efficient organiser
  • Computer literate.
  • Excellent team worker


Desirable

  • Experience in a manufacturing process

environment or the chemical industry is

advantageous.

  • Knowledge of working on a COMAH site
  • Current and valid counterbalance truck license.
