The National Piping Centre is currently seeking a Chefs of all levels to join The Pipers' Tryst, its busy restaurant and events team, in the heart of Glasgow City Centre.
The National Piping Centre exists to promote the study of the music and history of the Highland Bagpipe and is is the world centre of excellence in the artform. There are two venues which form part of the centre, one in the city centre and one in Glasgow's west end. You will be be based in the City Centre location.
The Pipers' Tryst within The National Piping Centre, has a 40 seat restaurant, serving top quality scottish dishes with a modern twist, as well as housing an 8 bedroom boutique hotel. There is also an events space which is used to run weddings, with a seating capacity of 120, as well as special events, conferences, schools and more. Chefs joining our busy team will be expected to work flexibly across shifts from breakfast to end of service in the restaurant and for large events within our venue. We are in very close proximity to the Theatre Royal, so are especially busy at pre-theatre time for diners.
Experience needed:
- Experience working in a professional kitchen
- Competency in general running of the kitchen
- Maintaing cleanliness standards and HACCP checks
- Has a genuine passion for food and hospitality
- Shift work: Must be available evenings and weekends
- Can do attitude
