The Forge & Fern is one of the most exciting new opens to hit the Bristol food & drink scene this year, now trading & exceeding all projections we are looking for the best chefs in Bristol to join this one-of-a-kind project.
Fiercely independent, we are backed by the established and diverse Bristol based Vertex Investment Group.
The Forge & Fern will be the first of multiple sites (already purchased) to follow in the next 12 months, creating genuine scope to progress at all levels.
The Café bar itself is a design led inspirational space, exterior living walls on the façade, marble tabletops, bespoke back bar feature mirrors and beautiful hanging pendant lighting - the interiors are simply stunning.
We have a high quality, yet accessible, all-day dining offering available. Think the best barista morning coffee with local cakes & pastries, beautifully displayed on the bar, brunch served through to mid-afternoon & then to start the evening a vibrant wine list and artisan spirits, the best of local craft beer alongside small plates & pub classics to bring the day to a close.
The business also offers unique points of difference, to allow us to stand out from the crowd.
The rooftop of the pub will be a hive of activity in more ways than one; with 10,000 bees housed above allowing us to produce our own honey whilst at the opposite end of the pub in the cellar, we will be distilling our own Forge & Fern gin! There will be a show piece gin still in the basement, which will be visible through a bespoke glass walkway, front and centre in the restaurant providing a real wow factor for all guests and visitors.

The Role
We are looking for talented and passionate chefs of all levels to join our already amazing team.
You will report into the Head Chef and will be responsible for preparing and executing all aspects of all food offerings. You will comply and support in the health & safety and food hygiene standards across the business.
The menu will run all day. From 8am we will start with our wonderful breakfast & brunch offering right through to interesting & fun small plates and pub classics in the evenings.
This will be a varied and fast paced role and you will be joining a truly great team of people focused individuals.
With further sites already purchased this is a great step towards higher ranked kitchen positions whilst receiving daily support and training along the way.

Full time £10.50-13 per hour
