Job Title: Caribbean Chef
Location: Dunstable
We are seeking a talented and experienced Caribbean Chef to join our team at our exciting new Caribbean restaurant. As a Caribbean Chef, you will be responsible for creating authentic and flavorful Caribbean dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design menus that showcase the diverse flavours of the Caribbean
- Prepare and cook a range of Caribbean dishes, including jerk chicken, curries, seafood, and vegetarian options
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standard
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure that all dishes are cooked correctly
- Monitor food costs and manage inventory levels
- Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure that customers receive a seamless dining experienceFollow all safety and health regulations
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Caribbean Chef
- Excellent knowledge of Caribbean cuisine and cooking techniques
- Ability to create and develop innovative and authentic Caribbean menus
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
