WEEKEND ASSISTANT CHEF REQUIRED
St Clements is an independently owned brunch & lunch cafe (day time only!) based in Parsons Green, SW6 London. We serve the very best food, using awesome ingredients and we make fantastic coffee that you can enjoy!
At St Clements we currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Junior / Assistant chef to work in our small friendly kitchen most weekends.
We are looking for a hard worker with a passion for cooking who is keen to learn. The weekends are very busy so you will be an integral part of the team helping prepare dishes and assisting with food prep. An interest in baking would be helpful as we make all our own cakes, jam etc.
HOURS / WORK SCHEDULE
We are looking for someone to work assisting our main chef most Saturdays and Sundays (NB - we close every year between 24 Dec and 2 Jan).
STAFF / WORKING ENVIRONMENT
We have a young, dynamic friendly team with a total of 12-14 employees, a few of whom have been with us at St Clements for a long time.
At St Clements we are committed to offering a working environment that while fast paced and busy, is also fun and supportive.
We always have a kitchen porter!
FINANCIAL
We share in our successes and as well as a great salary package we pay our employees a twice yearly bonus.
ST CLEMENTS FOOD & OUR KITCHEN
The position is hands on - our weekend brunch service is extremely busy, but in addition the chef must be comfortable making cakes, biscuits and pastry.
We really do make everything from scratch including our own marmalade and jams, harissa, all our cakes, biscuits and tray bakes, Christmas mincemeat, mayonnaise etc etc. So you need to love cooking. We have an awesome selection of popular brunch dishes which change through the year. At the moment these include Sausage, rosemary & squash hash, Autumn mushrooms on toast and Chorizo baked eggs,
We are looking for a chef with exceptional attention to detail and a genuine interest in food and cooking. We use top quality ingredients and take huge pride in our food and we are looking for a chef with a shared love of food!

- Minimise wastage through careful stock control and considerate ordering
