We are looking to hire staff for our Pepe's Piri Piri fast food restaurant on Gorgie Road.

We are looking for passionate, hard-working, reliable and friendly staff who are willing to learn. Ideal candidates should have previous experience in fast food or catering environment. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently within a team are required.

Job Position Responsibilities & Skills

• Chef will directly report to Head Chef and directly supervise Grill Section and Burger Section.
• Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales
• Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
• Cook food in a timely manner
• Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
• Inform wait staff about daily specials
• Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
• Have a full understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
• Maintain Company standards of food quality and presentation
• Work towards achieving and exceeding company objectives in food
• Follow company rules and regulations
• Prepare food orders in a timely and organised manner
• Lead the team in preparation of all food items required for service on the line

Requirements

• Qualification will be minimum Higher level, can read, write and speak English.
• At least 3 years experience in relevant field must be required.
• Basic math skills
• Attentiveness and patience for customers
• Excellent presentation skills
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• Active listening and effective communication skills
• Team spirit
• Flexibility to work in shifts when required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £20,480.00-£25,600.00 per year
