Job description
The post holder is responsible for providing a high-quality, nutritionally sound catering service to service users. To work as part of a team planning and delivery the preparation of fresh and cold meals, snacks salads and sandwiches. The post holder is responsible for ensuring catering services are delivered in a professional, helpful and courteous manner and is one which is delivered to all statutory requirements.
The post holder will implement food hygiene legislation which will include compliance with cleanliness standards, and health and safety codes of practice. Auditing kitchen processes and proposing menu development, working closely with the Trust’s nutritionists and dieticians within the inpatient service.

The postholder will be required to act as cover for annual leave/sickness which they cover on related duties, weekend work this is also included to cover service provision.
The postholder will conduct regular quality control inspection to ensure that the agreed NHS standards of cleanliness are maintained.
Completion of Level 3 Diploma in Food Hygiene and Professional Cookery or equivalent experience.
A minimum of Level 3 in Food Hygiene certificate is mandatory to this post.
