Chef Location: Ark Bolingbroke Academy Job Type: Operations Salary: 29,915 - 31,985 Posted: 16/10/2023 Closing date: 30/10/2023 Closing time: 16:00 Chef Reports to: Catering Manager Start date: November 2023 Salary: Ark Inner London Support Scale Grade 7, Point 14-18 - £29,915 - £31,985 (Subject to pro-rata) Working hours: Permanent, 36 Hours Per Week, Term Time Plus 2 Weeks Closing Date: 30th October 2023, 4pm The Role: Consistently prepare, cook and present food, to school standards, under the direction of the Chef Manager. Supervise catering staff whose kitchen duties are allocated by the Chef Manager. Ensure high levels of cleanliness are maintained in the kitchen dining area, and that a high standard of catering service is always provided. Our ideal candidate will: Have experience of catering in large quantities, ideally within a school or education setting Have experience of working with children Have experience of cultural diversity, with particular reference to food preparation and dietary preferences Have knowledge of healthy eating and nutrition and creating healthy menus Have experience of baking Be hard working, conscientious, detail orientated and highly organised. Be an excellent team player, helpful, friendly and willing to undertake extra tasks as and when necessary. Be a good role model for pupils and staff, with high expectations of self and others.
