We’re currently hiring for a Part Time Checkout Supervisor at our Aintree depot. The role will include supervising, overseeing, and working on the checkouts to process customers transactions, alongside preparing customer orders for delivery the following day. You will be working as part of a key supportive team within the depot, where you will take ownership and supervise a team of employees to aid in the process of tilling a customer’s order with good attention to detail and can work well in a busy environment.

What will you be doing as a Checkout Supervisor?
- Supervising the checkout area and team members
- Organising weekly shift ROTAs
- Working on the checkout to process customers transactions
- Answering and dealing with customer queries
- Preparing customer orders for delivery
- Taking responsibility for the zone that you are supervising; this includes ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained
- Ensuring the checkouts are ready for customers at both the opening and closing of the depot
- Supporting other departments as required
What do you need to be a Checkout Supervisor?
- Confidence using computerised tills and barcode scanners
- Excellent work ethic is required, as well as punctuality and reliability
- Great with customers and aware of their needs, while being polite and friendly at all times
- Initiative and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team to guide them
- Good time management as you will be working at speed
- Good attention to detail and careful precision to meet targets
- Able to work in a high-volume, sometimes physically challenging role
- Able to work quickly and to deadlines
- Confident working alongside the depot management team
- Experienced in the use of MS Word, and Excel are preferred
What’s on offer?
- Rate of pay dayshift: £10.88 - £11.12 per hour (age dependant) + opportunities for overtime
- 24.5 hours per week on the following rota:
- Wednesday 16.00 - 20.30
- Thursday 07.00 - 15.00
- Friday 15.00 - 20.30
- Sunday 08.30 - 16.00

Part-time hours: 24.5 per week
