CHARITY SPECIALIST KEY WORKER

POST: Charity Specialist Key Worker

REPORTS TO: Supported Housing Service Manager and Senior Support
Worker/s

HOURS: 40 hours per week - Evenings and weekend work, flexibility is required due to the nature of the job, sleep-ins and bank holidays. Sleep in allowance paid.

LOCATION: ROC Solid* Supported Housing Project

OBJECTIVE: To provide housing management and tenancy support services to service users; to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the project.

Responsibilities of the Post:

1. Admit new residents and compile and complete all relevant admission documents.

2. Compile and complete all relevant discharge documents.

3. Provide support and guidance to residents.

4. Adhere to, uphold and exemplify the Company’s core values

5. Help residents find their own solution to the problems associated with young people in need.

6. To provide key working to individuals as part of their support plan.

7. To provide support and information about benefits, services, housing options to residents and liaise with other agencies providing services for the client group.

8. To encourage resident participation in the running of the project.

9. To ensure licence agreements and house rules are adhered to and maintain harmony within the Project between it and its neighbours within the community.

General

10. To assist with relief cover at the project.

11. To assist with relief cover for other projects, as required by the manager.

12. If required to undertake sleepovers which form part of the rota of the project/and or other projects.

Administration

In line with procedures

1. Attend all supervision sessions with the manager and discuss all aspects of the service users and scheme issues.

2. Maintain and update all administrative records relating to the project e.g. log book, complaints, incident book etc, including service user’s files.

3. Maintain formal records, for instance the fire log book and undertake fire safety drills.

4. Produce monitoring and performance information as required by the project manager to assist in the completion of monitoring returns e.g. Supporting People workbooks, and internal monitoring records.

5. Assist in the collation of service user’s satisfaction information.

6. Report all repairs immediately and follow up to ensure they are completed.

7. Ensure the project is kept clean and safe and also ensure service users undertake their responsibilities to keep the project clean and safe.

8. Assist in monitoring inventories of equipment and furnishings.

Training
To participate in staff meetings and undertake training as required.
