Job description
The post holder will be required to work as part of the Team supporting the Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity as one of the Charity Admin Assistants.
- Assist with the processing of applications from Fund Managers for the use of Charitable Funds. Liaise with fund managers and staff across the Trust clinical and non-clinical with regard to queries on applications for the use of charitable funds.
- Upload to Unit 4 Agresso System Purchase Orders and where relevant ensure that all Charitable Fund orders via Procurement are correctly coded.
- Assist with general clerical work including filing and scanning within the department on an ad hoc basis.
- Attend and assist with fundraising events where possible.
- Monitor the Charity Finance email in box, answering queries and delegating emails to others where needed.
- Provide support to the Charity Finance Team in gathering the data for the Charitable Funds Committee and at the financial year end for the external auditors.
- Tracking the progress of applications and following up with colleagues in the Trust or other staff members where necessary to move them further through the process.
- Confident speaking face to face and over the phone with staff and members of the public.
- Provide support with general admin duties such as - filing, scanning, stock room archiving and the disposal of outdated paperwork.
- Provide admin support to the Charity Head of Governance as directed.
All members of the Charity Team are encouraged to support the Charity with its varied fundraising events during the year.
