Job description
The chaperone will be required to be present with the Radiographer/Sonographer during all scans. The person should be of mature and responsible character. She must be able to communicate well, and be able to put the patient at ease and make them feel comfortable during scanning. They must be extremely polite, respectful and well spoken. Should be articulate, tactful and sensitive to pregnant ladies as well as their guests.
The chaperone will also be responsible for general practice duties, including reception duties. The chaperone should be able to operate simple computer procedures such as printing, copying, and scanning along with copying DVDs. Training will be provided. General cleaning and housekeeping is also part of the duties.
They must be well-dressed, hygienic and presentable. Applicants with DBS will be given preference, or should be willing to apply for one.
Applicants must be flexible and be able to work evenings and weekends. Numbers of hours will vary from 16-25 hours per week working various hours throughout the week.
The salary is £10.00 per hour.
