Trent Valley Crematorium / Derby
£23,000.88 per annum + Company Benefits
40 hours per week, Monday – Friday (08:00 am – 17:00 pm) with 1 hours break
Accruing 22 - 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays | Sick Pay Eligibility after 12-month qualifying period | Life Assurance 2 x salary

Trent Valley Crematorium is looking for a compassionate, dedicated individual to join our team as a Chapel Attendant. What Will I Be Doing As A Chapel Attendant?
As a Chapel Attendant, you will be one of the very first points of contact for our families. You are going to be the coordinator that supports our families, arranges the funerals and works alongside our teams to ensure that the funerals are delivered at the highest standard, whilst also meeting the personable requests of the families.
Other duties will include:
- Liaise with Funeral Directors and Ministers, ensuring any specific requests from the family regarding the chapel set-up and order of service are carried out
- Take responsibility for the preparation of the chapel and public areas prior to each service including cleaning, polishing and sanitisation
- Take responsibility for the preparation of music and webcasting for friends and family who cannot attend in person.
- Create a welcoming, safe and caring atmosphere
- Maintain excellent service to clients who telephone or call at the designated office
What Do I Need?
- Previous experience in a Customer Service or Administrative position.
- Proactive approach and ability to communicate effectively with a range of people
- PC Literate and confident in using Office 365 and other Microsoft applications
- Presentable at all times, acting with professional conduct and showing empathy.
- Excellent attention to detail is (Essential)
- Have a Full UK Driving Licence (Preferred)
Advantageous:
- Previous experience in the industry, though this is not required, as full training will be provided.
