Job description
Change Lead – £40,000 to £45,000 for Norwich, Bristol, or York locations
The Technology Change Lead will be responsible for co-ordinating data ingestion into Aviva Data Lake across multiple projects and business. The role will work alongside a team of technical specialists ensuring efficient solutions are built and meet the customer’s needs.
Aviva introduced “smart-working” in 2020 and encourage flexible working; however, the successful post-holder will need to be based a commutable distance from our Norwich, Bristol or York offices. (FYI - if Norwich isn’t your aligned office, there would be an expectation to travel here once or twice a month too).
A bit about the job:
This role sits within the Data Analytics Platform and is key to Aviva with supporting the growth area of Data Ingestion. The team is a shared service which supports the data needs of a wide variety of internal business areas across multiple business functions, centralising data for MI and Analytic needs before being provisioned for business areas to utilise. We believe this is a great role because of the dynamism in our team, the growth strategy Aviva has right now and the spectrum of projects this team works on.
The Change Lead will work with projects and business functions to ensure a smooth move from engagement to the required resources being onboarded. They will provide an important role in working between business and developers to ensure Customer outcome is delivered to the highest standard whilst the RUN teams are able to maintain service whilst keeping the estate infrastructure secure and low cost to Aviva.
This role is for an individual to support the business and technical team to work cohesively to deliver the best possible outcomes. The team is a mixture of permeant Aviva staff, graduates, and 3rd party associates (both on and offshore). Supporting data needs across Aviva, this role allows for you to work with multiple different teams and projects, leaving no two days the same.
Due to the team being based in Norwich, travel will be required from time to time. There is also an expectation of working in an Aviva office 2-3 days a week, however that doesn’t always have to be the Norwich office if another is closer.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Well organised and self-motivated with very strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to manage several strands of work concurrently, and to help lead our 3rd party associates (on and offshore)
