Consumer Additions are currently retained to secure a top tier Chief Financial Officer to join the senior management team of a fast growing, direct-to-consumer sports accessories business.

The business is a B Corp certified, sustainable sports ecommerce business based in London.

After a successful fundraise, the business is primed to grow in the UK and expand into the US market. They are looking for their first CFO to help the company grow their revenue from £8m to £40m+

The successful candidate could be stepping up into their first CFO role or be a more established CFO/FD. They will head up finance for the business, delivering commercial and strategic insight to drive growth and profitability. The CFO will be responsible for all areas of finance.

The successful candidate MUST have experience of D2C or ecommerce.

The ideal person for this role is an enthusiastic, driven finance professional with a “hands on” approach and the ability to switch to the more strategic and commercial side of running a business and finance team.

The CFO will partner with the founder CEO to drive insight, analysis and commercial finance business partnering across the company.

Key role requirements:

• Develop and manage commercial analysis and business partnering relationships up to and including board level
• Group financial planning, budgeting, forecasting – support the executive teams through the strategic planning process to define financial targets
• Drive KPI’s around Cost of Acquisition, LTV, ROI on digital marketing etc.
• Weekly, monthly, annual reporting, cash flow forecasting - reporting and presenting to the CEO, Investors and the Board
• Build and develop external relationships (private equity, banks, suppliers etc)
• Supporting all external financing activities
• Input into all property, commercial and capex related decisions
• Ongoing development of financial systems and management information
• Tax and VAT responsibilities
• Cash management and working capital responsibility
• Company secretarial and management of HR
• Management of small transactional finance team/ AP/AR

Person Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (or QBE/overseas equivalent)
• Experience within an international, multichannel retail/ DTC ecommerce brand a must
• Broad finance experience across commercial finance and control/reporting/transactional
• Commercial, strategic and entrepreneurial
• Ability to challenge the numbers with senior management
