Job description
Manage and oversee third-party warehouse providers to make sure they are supporting all business needs and delivering upon business requirements- Analyze anticipated growth against capacities to maintain and ensure proper storage, receiving, and shipping capabilities for present and future business
- Ensure contingency plans, systems and practices are in place to prevent and eliminate business disruption
- Drive accountability of third-party warehouse service providers (monthly, quarterly, annually) through comprehensive KPI analytics and business reviews
- Review and analyze distribution centers to ensure they are cost effective locations that meet the demand needs of Califia’s growing business
- Maintain accurate inventory records and track storage costs
- Work collaboratively with the logistics team to develop, implement, and enforce warehouse and logistics operation systems that create more efficiencies
- Work collaboratively with the Quality team to ensure distributions centers are meeting Califia’s required food safety and quality requirements
- Prepare budgets and manage expenses within budget
- Develop key measures of success and monitor performance against these measures and implement improvements
- Work with AP to review and approve invoices of third-party distribution centers
- Achieve and support corporate goals
- College Degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a warehouse environment
- Advanced knowledge of Warehouse Management Software (WMS)
- In-depth knowledge of warehousing and inventory management procedures
- Must be able to work across US & Canada distribution center locations, sharing and learning best practices and balancing DC and local needs and impact at all levels
- Ability to operate strategically, while understanding the tactical implications of decisions
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project and/or other appropriate software
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects in an ever-changing fast-moving environment
- Excellent collaborator
Salary Range: $100 - $115K
