Wage/Salary: £29,400.00 + gross per annum
Driver Essential? Yes to travel to and from the family home, an automatic, fully adapted car is available to use when on duty.
Essential: Some experience supporting clients with a physical disability, Non-smoker/vaper
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 7.00am – 7.00pm. We have full and part-time roles available and can offer waking nights also.

About this client/child:
Samuel (19) is a fun, sociable, and happy young man with a great sense of humour and the most infectious giggle! He attends college in the week and has many interests in his spare time, which include being involved in preparing his food, shopping, cooking, listening to music, going out to the theatre, cinema, and museums. Samuel has cerebral palsy, is a wheelchair user and his food and medication are given via a PEG. He is non-verbal however communicates with facial expressions, sometimes sounds and Eye Gaze. He can express his likes and dislikes well. Samuel requires 2:1 support 24/7 with all his needs.
Overview of role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, vibrant, and warm Support Worker for Samuel. Your role will be to fully support Samuel with all aspects of his daily routine; attending college, hydrotherapy, days out exploring new activities. Previous trips and activities he has enjoyed are Centre Parcs, Legoland, Harry Potter world, dry slope skiing, theatre, and speed boating! Samuel lives in a large, beautifully adapted house, that meets all his needs. He has a multidisciplinary team to provide physio and hydrotherapy, speech and language and Occupational therapy.
Hourly rate: Weekdays £13.50 gross per hour, Weekends £15.50 gross per hour. The rota, issued 8 weeks in advance.
Who this job would suit:
You will be fun, intuitive, and proactive, happy to work alongside other team and family members. Samuel needs positive people who actively engage with him to bring out the best in him. The successful candidate will be comfortable supporting a young adult with physical disabilities and providing personal care. You don’t need to have years of experience, but you do need to be eager to learn new skills, be full of energy and have plenty of common sense!
