Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking Cattery Assistants for a fixed term 6-month contract. The cattery assistant role is fast-paced and very hands-on. The candidate needs to be confident, enjoy interaction with cats, and have some experience with cats and an understanding of cat behaviour (preferable). The candidate will also be able to assist clients either face-to-face or over the phone.

The main duties are as follows (roles are shared with members of staff working that day):

  • Cleaning out of cats
  • Emptying litter trays
  • Taking down bins
  • Washing up of litter trays and/or food bowls
  • Deep cleaning of pens
  • Prepare the cat pen accommodation
  • To maintain cleanliness and infection control
  • Assist with cat handling, if necessary.

Salary: 36 hours £9.53/hr
Job Type: Fixed-term (six months)
Hours: Rota: 4 days 8-5pm, Saturdays (8-12), Sundays (8-12) including 1 x BH weekend
