Job description
We have a vacancy in the catering department for Catering Assistant with flexibility to work in all areas of catering.
We are looking for a motivated individual with initiative to assist in a very busy areas, with good communications skills and be able to follow written and verbal instructions and follow strict hygiene regulations. Ideally the candidate will have previous experience and basic hygiene knowledge and be willing to undertake Basic Food Hygiene Certificate Training. The successful candidate will have high personal standards, be able to complete simple records, be able to operate machinery after training, and be capable of working without direct supervision.
Duties to include preparation of salads and sandwiches reheating of food and very basic cooking duties, and general cleaning and working on industrial washing up machines as required, will include washing cooking utensils and pots , some general stores duties with lifting and pushing trolleys.
