Job description
Brogdale CIC is looking for a catering assistant to join our Food with Friends café team based in the Ashford Gateway Plus, Ashford. Food with Friends is a social enterprise working with disabled and disadvantaged young people and adults.
We require a team member for 16 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks) for Monday 08.30 - 13.30, Tuesday & Thursday 09.00 - 14.00.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and confident candidate who must possess good attention to detail, great organisational skills and love to help others.
As a Catering Assistant you will be part of a team working to provide great customer service and good value home cooked meals for staff in the Gateway Plus and the general public.
You will be responsible for all general catering tasks including customer service, maintaining stock levels, cleaning, cashier duties, preparing, making and serving hot drinks and food.
· DBS required
· Health and Hygiene Certificate desired
· Barista training desired but not essential
· Love of cooking and baking (these skills are Required)
· Flexibility for covering holiday/absences
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: £9.50 per hour
