NEC Group Operations Arenas are looking for four energetic and focussed individuals to join our rigging team in these demanding roles.
These exciting positions involve responsibility for carrying out ground rigging related support operations at Utilita Arena Birmingham, Resorts World Arena and the ICC, VOX Birmingham Venues ensuring that all rigging installations are implemented safely and to a high standard then inspected by a competent person. The successful candidates will ensure that safe systems of work are adhered to at all times. Assisting with the statutory maintenance and inspection regimes of rigging related equipment will also form part of the role under appropriate supervision.
As an effective team member, you will be expected to liaise with other Arena rigging staff together with freelance and agency labour. You will be communicating with other technical staff, coordinators, external productions and event Managers on a day to day basis for the successful and safe planning and implementation of busy venue schedules.
Applicants should possess a good work and time keeping ethic preferably with some experience of working in a similar environment. They should have good all round organising and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail, be computer literate in Microsoft Office and have excellent customer service skills.
The candidate must be flexible and prepared for the demands of an ever changing environment operating throughout a 24 hour 7 day week inclusive of nightshifts.
