A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RECEPTIONIST AT HILTON GARDEN INN STOKE-ON-TRENT What you'll be doing... Reporting to the Front Office Supervisor, you can expect your working day to include the following. Assisting with the day to day operation of the reception desk as required and ensuring the highest levels of customer service are consistently being delivered to our guests. Identifying customer service problems or issues before they arise. Displaying a positive, friendly and informal manner with customers. Showing a sense of urgency on behalf of customers and actions requests quickly. Undertaking work in a well-organised and systematic way. Working effectively with colleagues and other departments. Striving for excellence by paying attention to important detail. Ensuring promises are kept by following through on customers' requests. Maximising sales opportunities through upselling, cross-selling and achieving add-on-sales. The successful applicant for this role will deliver excellent customer service, have a positive ‘can do' attitude, be willing to learn and show that they care. Please note hours/shifts will be rostered according to the operational requirements of the business WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU A great personality and be genuine, approachable, attentive and instinctive A proven track record in a similar role Strong training and development skills so you can share your skills with others. Excellent communication skills A desire to be “the best” with high standards; Ability to effectively manage and motivate the individuals within your team to support them in achievement of their personal development goals. Good proven organisation and planning skills gained through previous experience ONQPM knowledge is desirable but not required.
