Casual Opportunities
We are looking for 3 Casual Museum Assistants to join the Museum Operations team within Corporate Landlord. Museum Operations team oversees the facilities functions across Bristol Culture sites.
Bristol Culture delivers city wide festivals, events, exhibitions, and world class museums; this role provides the opportunity to be part of the city’s dynamic, vibrant, and forward-thinking team.
You will be working within a team of Museum Assistants and supported and managed by a Museum Assistant Team Leader. You will primarily work at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery and M Shed. You will also carry out duties at historical houses.
The usual shifts are 7am-7pm during weekdays and 8.30am-6pm during weekends.
We are looking for individuals to deliver an outstanding Culture service by delivering operational effectiveness and efficiency and by supporting other colleagues across the service to deliver safe, secure, and well-presented buildings and services.
You will have the passion and drive to define and deliver our commitment to customer care. You will ensure the safety and security of staff, visitors, buildings, and museum artefacts. An interest on the work of Bristol Culture and its museum collections is a must.
The role includes manual tasks; and you will be expected to undertake relevant training to support your role, training may take place outside of contracted hours, all training is paid.
Please note that this role is not open to flexible working.
