Casual Ward Host / Hostes ( over 18 years old )

Immediate start available

Mainly evenings till 8pm and or weekends

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent customer focus to join our dynamic and friendly team of Ward Hosts on our Nuffield Health Hospital site in Guildford.

You will be required to assist in the preparation of all patient food services and to work with the ward teams to provide a high quality service to patients at required times.

• Serving of Breakfast, lunch & dinner meals by delivering direct to patients rooms.
• Delivering menus and taking orders from patients, offering help and advice where necessary on allergens and dietary requirements.
• Offering a hot beverage round during each service.
• Clearing down and washing up ensuring that the kitchen is fully prepared for next service
• Liaise with ward staff to ensure patients’ needs are met in a timely manner.
• Offering a great customer service by putting the patient first.

Ideal Candidate

The successful Ward Host/Hostess will be able to demonstrate the following:-

• Good command of the English language with a passion for patient care and being able to liaise closely with ward staff
• Awareness of food & hygiene standards
• Must have a 'Can do' attitude
• Able to work under pressure, individually and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast paced healthcare environment and has a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business.
• Previous Catering experience and knowledge is desirable but not essential as full training will be given

Job Type: Zero hours contract

Salary: £10.42 per hour
