Job description
The Platform is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individualsto work as part of a team, your duties will include stewarding at the events and performances and working behind a busy licenced bar.
You must be prepared to work evenings and weekends, have good communication skills, the ability to move and re-set seating and other furniture, and assist with unloading and loading of artist’s equipment. The ability to work at height is essential but training will be given.
You must also be able to prepare, serve and present alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks quickly and efficiently meeting our high standards. You will be expected to move stock and re-stock the bar.
As a casual worker, you will be paid only for the hours which you work. The nature of casual work means that there is no mutuality of obligation. This means that the Council is not obliged to offer you any hours and neither are you obligated to accept any hours offered. The Council cannot guarantee that work will be available every week. The hours of work for this position can involve working daytime, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays. This post is based at The Platform, Morecambe.
