Amadeus is a multi award winning caterer, operating at some of the UK's greatest venues including Resorts World Arena, Utilita Arena Birmingham and its home sites the NEC, ICC & The Vox.
As a Catering Manager, you will be key to day to day operations as well as looking to provide and support a wide range of hospitality and catering.
Your role will be predominantly based within the Resorts World Arena, however, at times there may be the options work at the group’s other venues and events if you should so wish.
Reporting to the Arena Team your main duties will be to deliver excellent customer service and maintain a high standard of customer management.
Teamwork, good time management, and having a flexible approach to work in an exciting and ever changing operation is essential, along with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional customer service at all times
What’s needed to succeed:
- Demonstrable evidence of being a world class Event Manager
- Strong understanding of the different aspects of catering services that are to be used at different events: Corporate, Banqueting, Weddings, Sporting, Public, Restaurant service, Bars
- A good knowledge of high volume retail operations with a focus on sales through upselling and speed of service.
- To promote and fun and safe working environment where staff feel welcome and valued.
- Experience in identifying staffing requirements & being able to act as appropriate where necessary.
- Ability to operate the events to the required Amadeus standards of compliance, service levels and presentation.
- Skills to be accountable for all company standards and legal requirements in relation to Food Safety, Health and Hygiene, Health & Safety, RIDDOR, Fire Regulations.
- Ensure each event is effectively managed, all day to day issues resolved to ensure a successfully delivered event
- Control of the temporary labour budget.
- To handle cash floats and income in accordance with company policy on cash handling, cash reconciliation, till procedures and banking. To reconcile cash to stock where required
Full training in Company Policies and Procedures will be given when required.
Hours can vary each week dependent on business levels so whether you have plenty of free time in your schedule or you can only manage the odd shift we’d love to hear from you.
