Casual Catering Assistant
Work Base: Sir John Mason House
Location: Winterton
Salary: Casual Grade 2 £10.60 per hour plus 10.7% in lieu of annual leave

Under direction, assist in the preparation of meals, snacks and drinks for people.
To maintain a clean, tidy and healthy working environment.
1. Assisting the catering team in preparing meals as per the menus.
2. Maintain clean and hygienic work areas that comply with health and safety and environmental safety standards.
3. Report faulty equipment to manager or relevant professional and action plan accordingly e.g. remove from use.
4. Ensure safe use and storage of equipment in line with health and safety policies. This includes fixed equipment and tools e.g. sharp knives.
5. Prepare snack meals e.g. light meals/tea, sandwiches, toast.
6. Prepare and maintain the café area as necessary.
7. Undertake administrative tasks and recording in relation to COSHH assessments, stock taking, and food temperatures in line with Food Handling regulations.
9. Rotate freezer stock and dried goods.
