Position Summary
Under general supervision, gives support to cashiers and other staff to help provide a positive customer experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Bags and packs customer purchases in a timely, appropriate manner
- Assists customers with loading purchases in customers vehicle
- Collects shopping carts from parking lot and surrounding areas regardless of outside conditions
- Removes debris from shopping carts
- Maintains a clean and organized work area free of hazards
- Provides exceptional customer service
- Keeps a positive and helpful attitude during length of shift
- Abides by Westborn Markets time and attendance policy
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Ability to write legibly and read with comprehension at a level where it applies to this position
- Must be able to assist other departments when necessary
- Required to walk/stand for the duration of the shift except during break/meal periods
- Ability to manage supplies and keep an appropriate level at registers
- Ability to maintain overall store cleanliness

Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing, and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
