Job Summary
As an acting team member of Waterdrops Express Car Wash, your role as a Cashier is a primary customer service position. However, the position requires cross-training. You may find yourself helping at the send station by loading cars properly to the conveyor and applying correct overrides. Cashiers will be informing customers about our procedures and policies, and promoting / upselling our wash packages, unlimited memberships, and special promotions. Cashiers receive and disburse money using cash registers (kiosks)/ POS and related equipment. They process credit, debit, gift card, contactless pay, and cash. Cashiers are also responsible for maintaining the store's image and answering customer inquiries.
Work Context
- Job Hazards - Must adhere to all safety rules, policies and regulations in relationship to OSHA and Waterdrops Equipment standards (including but not limited to Slip/trips/falls, Sprains & Strains, Vehicle Movement, Machinery/Equipment Exposure, Heat Exposure)
- Body Positioning - Ability to intermittently and repeatedly bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull, or do fine manipulations, and stand for prolonged periods. Ability to lift or move items of light to heavy weight, up to 20 lbs. occasionally. Position requires regularly walking, standing, using hands, reaching with hands and arms.
- Work Attire -Position requires a uniform including black or khaki pants, company provided blue polo shirt, non-slip shoes, company provided name-tag and access card.
Primary Job Duties
- Greet customers entering the establishment. We take pride in ensuring that each and every customer feels welcomed and satisfied with their time spent with us. SMILE and BE KIND!
- Maintain a positive attitude and calmly respond to customers' complaints. When encountered with a customer dispute, immediately call management for assistance. Uphold customer service and overall kindness to customers as the utmost.
- Promote our Unlimited Package to every single customer that is not already a membership holder.
- Perform visual inspections of the condition of each vehicle prior to sending it through the wash bay.
- Inform person prepping the cars important overrides
- Must be able to operate the send station and have a complete understanding of all overrides to adjust wash per vehicle as needed.
- Never leave your post unattended or without informing the manager on shift.
- Once a car is in the tunnel, make sure to inspect the wash and press the STOP button immediately if you notice an issue with machinery or vehicle. Inform management immediately. Don’t start the wash without management approval.
- Must be able to know how to deal with incidents and fill out a Customer Experience Report (CER) in the event a manager is not onsite to do so. Please read and understand our liability signage at our locations.
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas and complete other general cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping down areas and emptying trash cans if necessary. Do not just stand/sit around.
- As addressed in our handbook, cell phone usage, earphones or other electronics are not allowed while on the clock as this can cause distraction and lead to mistakes and accidents.
- Ask customers for feedback regarding wash and encourage them to leave us a yelp/google review if they were satisfied with our service. Mentioning your name helps management notice your efforts.

Pay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hour
