Black Hay are a longstanding legal firm with amazing offices in Prestwick and Ayr plus an estate agency office in Ayr. They have been trading in South Ayrshire for nearly 100 years. They have 4 partners with several other solicitor employees and a team of support staff.

Black Hay have a job opportunity for a Legal Cashier Apprentice to join their team full time in the Prestwick Office. You will gain experience of working on a reception desk and providing/developing some typing/secretarial support.

You will be responsible for:
- Working in the reception area providing a great customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Handling telephone calls and dealing with clients/general public calling into the office
- Providing secretarial support for general correspondence/documentation
- Using the companies internal CRM System for compliance
- Using the Denovo System to access and update Cashline and Strongroom systems for data
- Using Devovo to access individual Case Management Files for clients
- Providing support in cash department and payroll by updating records and data
- Using Microsoft Packages such as Excel, Word & Outlook
Salary:
£13,000 - £15,000 per annum
Working week:
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
You will need the following skills:
- Strong organisational skills
- Able to work effectively on your own initiative as well as part of a team
- An interest in finance
- Can use initiative
- Customer service skills
Future prospects:
Progression within the firm and gain SOLAS finance qualification.
Important information:
Throughout your apprenticeship you are supported by your skills coach and your account manager. They work with your line manager to ensure you settle in, help you develop all the skills you need to pass your assessments, and can provide one to one support.
At the end, as well as the valuable experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification.
