Position Description:
Accommodate Guest’s needs by greeting them in a timely professional manner and providing them with information pertaining to menu and “How to Pei Wei”. Fulfill orders placed by Guest’s for dining in or for take away in person, by phone or on-line.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the overall set-up, maintenance and closing duties for the front of the house (FOH) in accordance to Pei Wei SOP’s
- Process phone orders in a timely manner
- Takes and processes customer orders into POS system.
- Processes and totals order on POS system and apply customer payment into register.
- Processes credit cards, takes cash and makes correct change for customer payment.
- Greet and welcome customers entering the restaurant.
- Packages take home orders for customers.
- Tabulate data regarding bills, total amounts, restaurant expenses in POS system.
- Maintains and cleans front of house area including drink and condiment station
- Follows dress code.
- Work around various levels of temperature, including warm to extremely warm temperatures in the kitchen.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier and operating a POS system.
- Understanding of English language. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to Customers, Employee and Management.
- Basic math skills and computer proficiency.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.

Working Conditions:
- Physical activities that require considerable use of your fingers, arms and legs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for periods of four to ten hours in length each shift.
- Must be able to reach, bend, balance and transport various objects weighing up to 30 lbs repeatedly during a shift.
- Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy with correction.
- Must be able to see at 20/20 vision with correction.
