JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Associate I / Cashier will be responsible for processing customer sales transactions for the Base Supply Center at the location listed above in compliance with the AbilityOne Program, Federal and Military Guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Processes customer sales transactions into the Point-of-Sale System
- Assists Customers with locating material in the store
- Straightens and faces merchandise on the shelves
- Dusts and cleans to maintain a neat and organized appearance
- Other Duties assigned by the Store Manager

- H.S. Diploma/GED required.
- 1 year of experience preferred.
- Customer Service Skills and Sales abilities
- Customer Relations
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Recognize and understand product numbers and alpha/numeric codes
- Understand basic inventory and stocking procedures.
- Able to work independently with some direction
- Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Able to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Team player who works productively with a wide range of people
- Manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities and procedures
- Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills

- Basic computer/keyboard skills
- Pass Drug Screening and Background Check (including base required checks)

- Stand/walk for long periods of time with allotted breaks
