OVERVIEW OF POSITION
Server/Cashiers at Impact Kitchen are responsible for executing our high standards of service, and our Server/Cashiers are front and centre: they are the greeter, the person who ensures that guest needs and expectations are exceeded. Server/Cashiers are warm and welcoming, know all of the intricacies of the menu, and assist the guest with the menu questions and order placement. Server/Cashiers also assist with food delivery, keeping customer waters filled, bussing tables, and attending to the overall appearance of the restaurant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Promptly welcoming guests when they arrive & thanking them for their patronage when they leave
- Assisting guests with food, drink, and nutritional menu inquiries and making helpful menu suggestions based on guest preferences
- Accurately inputting orders through the POS system to ensure smooth transition of orders to the service line, coffee bar and smoothie bar.
- Prioritizing food and beverage delivery by promptly running food to assigned tables to ensure guests are serviced in a timely manner.
- Anticipating customer needs by offering them water and condiments when delivering their meal
- Bussing the restaurant floor, tidying retail products, restocking dishes and glassware, restocking the pastry section, rolling cutlery, conducting washroom checks and tidying, refilling the water station, spot sweeping, wiping of tables, and contributing to the overall cleanliness and superior of upkeep of Impact Kitchen
- During slower periods, support with other team duties
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively, respectfully and work well with others in a team based setting
- Ability to execute and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask when required
- Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
- Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends as business requires
- Preferred but not required: Food Handlers Certification
