Job Summary:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our dynamic team as a Box Office cashier for Secret Location x Illuminarium’s first Canadian site in the Distillery District, set to open in late Summer 2023. The venue will host a series of immersive experiences that utilize the latest technology in the field as well as experiment with new kinds of shows. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers by managing ticket sales, assisting with inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Sell tickets to customers accurately and efficiently, using a computerized ticketing system.
- Provide information about event schedules, pricing, and promotions.
- Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate cash management by reconciling the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
- Maintain knowledge of all current and upcoming experiences to effectively answer customer inquiries.
- Address customer concerns, complaints, or ticketing issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with the management team to resolve any technical or operational challenges related to the ticketing system.
- Assist with crowd control and line management during peak times or high-demand events.
- Uphold all company policies and procedures related to ticket sales, cash handling, and customer service.
- Continuously strive to enhance the customer experience by suggesting improvements and implementing best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a customer service or cashier position is a plus.
- Basic mathematical and computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers from diverse backgrounds.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and ticketing transactions.
- Ability to work in a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of the business.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
