Job description

Our client who are leading single site commercial law firm with an excellent reputation have an excellent opportunity for a Legal Cashier to join an established and highly respected private practice in London.

You will be part of a busy accounts department and will report to the Partners and other Directors.

Role:

• You will ensure full compliance with the SRA accounts rules.
• Office & Client bank reconciliations
• Client receipts and electronic payment preparation
• Daily banking of cheques and cash
• Credit card postings and reconciliations
• Invoice processing and review
• Assisting with working capital management write-offs, disbursements and credit note requests
• Supplier invoice processing and payments
• Expense claim processing and payments
• Responding to Finance queries
• Assisting with report preparation and distribution e.g., costs and residual balances
• Ensuring disbursements are processed efficiently e.g., Companies House, Land registry and TM property searches.

About you:

• You will have experience in a Solicitors’ accounts department, performing Legal Cashier duties.
• You will have excellent organisational skills, the ability to complete tasks to deadlines and to work outside of normal office hours during month-end billing periods.
• You will bring excellent IT skills working with practice management systems and Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
• You can demonstrate a good understanding of the SRA accounts rules and VAT.
• You always ensure accuracy and attention to detail when recording financial transactions and have the ability to record all financial transactions in a timely manner and keep the records up to date.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

• Monday to Friday

• Legal Cashier: 4 years (preferred)
