Job Title: Retail Grocery Beer/Wine Clerk
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Retail Grocery Beer/Wine Clerk. As a Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring that our beer and wine department is well-stocked, organized, and clean. You will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our customers, answering their questions, and helping them find the products they need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stocking and organizing the beer and wine department shelves and coolers
- Rotating and checking expiration dates on products
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the department
- Assisting customers in finding products and answering questions about products
- Operating cash registers and handling transactions
- Checking identification of customers who are purchasing alcohol
- Ordering products as needed and ensuring that inventory levels are appropriate
- Participating in store promotions and events
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a retail environment preferred
- Knowledge of beer and wine products preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
