The Faculty of Advocates is one of Scotland’s most ancient and prestigious organisations with a vibrant professional body of practising Advocates. The Data Operations Department deals with the administration of Member's fee income and pay-outs as well as the daily upkeep of the agent, contact and case information on the Lex case management system. The following vacancy has arisen:

Salary: Grade 4b: £23,320 - £28,346 per annum
(All new appointments will be made at the start of the salary scale)
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday: 9.00am – 5.00pm
(Operating under a Hybrid Working Policy)

The purpose of this job is to input high volume of data to the Companies Case Management & fee accounting system and perform control procedures.
Key responsibilities include maintaining records using bespoke fee accounting & LEX case Management system; process cash transactions from Solicitors, SLAB and Direct bodies to the Advocate accounts and nominal ledger. To access Company online banking to retrieve daily bank statements, carry out daily bank reconciliation, process and record Advance payments to Advocates via online banking and ensure all records are kept up to date for audit purposes.
The successful candidate must have four National 4’s or National 5’s (or equivalent), including Maths and English. The successful candidate will have a high level of computer literacy and numeracy skills with effective communication skills and attention to detail.
