Job Description:
Our Escape Room company is looking for a skilled carpenter to join our team in creating immersive experiences for our customers. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the sets, props, and puzzles in our escape rooms.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the creative team to develop designs for new escape rooms and modifications to existing rooms
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and schematics to plan and execute construction projects
- Build and install custom sets, props, and puzzles using a variety of materials, including wood, metal, and other materials
- Ensure that all construction work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Troubleshoot and repair sets, props, and puzzles as needed
- Collaborate with other team members, including game designers, technicians, and customer service representatives, to ensure that all aspects of the escape room experience are cohesive and effective
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop and inventory of tools and materials
- Follow health and safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and schematics
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required
